White Sun Spots On Skin
|
People decide to tan for many different reasons. There are many ways to get a darker complexion. You can use a tanning bed, you can sunbathe or you can use an instant self tanner. All of these products are available and they are a matter of personal choice. Tanning beds and sunbathing do have risks associated with them. One of these risks are white sun spots on skin. There are many reasons why sun spots may appear on the body. Pressure points occur on the body when the certain areas of the body come in contact with the tanning bed for an extended period of time and this area of the body is constantly rubbing against this area.
Fungus can also cause spots on the skin. The heat and humidity mixed with the perspiration on the skin can be a true breeding ground for the growth of these white spots.
There are a few ways that these sun spots can be removed from the body. The first thing you will need to do is keep the affected area covered and protected from the sun. Keep sunscreen on anytime you are outside, even if it is cloudy or raining. The white spots will prove that this area of the skin is very sensitive and protection is necessary to prevent further damage. Vitamin E is a great oil to nourish and protect the skin. It helps to reduce and fade away spots. Use the oil at least twice a day for best results. An exfoliating bath is the best way to treat the entire body. Soak in a bathtub with a loofah or sponge and sea salt. This will help treat and repair the affected areas. It is important to watch the white sun spots to see how they react to treatment. If there is no improvement in the spots after a few months, the spots can actually be a fungus in which a different course of action needs to be taken. A fungal infection can also cause white spots and they can be treated the same way as athlete’s foot. A topical anti fungal cream will work. |
