Makeup is a safer alternative than most other treatments. Makeup conceals and covers up any flaws that are on the skin. Topical creams can also be applied and used to help the sunspots to gradually fade away.

A chemical peel can also be used because it removes the damaged skin and allows new skin cells to come to the surface.
